About Homes 4 Families

Homes 4 Families’ mission is to build resiliency, economic growth, neighborhoods, and homes for veterans and their families. Our 501(c)(3) organization was founded in 2008 and exists to meet the significant need to equip and prepare veteran families for movement up the economic ladder. We do this through our evidence-based approach which shows improved social determinants of health.

Despite the growing population of low-income servicemen and servicewomen, few permanent housing resources exist to assist entire families. Even fewer are available that are community-based and help veterans transition to civilian life. Recognizing this, Homes 4 Families created the innovative Veteran Enriched Neighborhood® model.

We serve low-income, diverse, and underserved veterans and military families with no-cost social services that equip them to succeed in civilian life, including financial education, therapeutic workshops, trauma-informed programs and veteran-to-veteran support. Homes 4 Families has built or repaired over 402 homes, including five Enriched Neighborhoods®. We are currently building 52 more homes for families in Palmdale and North Hollywood, and remain committed to empowering low-income veterans and their families to enter the middle class through affordable homeownership and holistic services that build resiliency, self-sufficiency and economic growth.
