About Total Comfort Inc.

Total Comfort, Inc. was originally founded in 1970 in Colorado and recognized by the name Steel-T and in 1988, the California operations of Steel-T was started.  Being centrally located in Corona, California allows Total Comfort the flexibility and ability to handle new construction projects from Oceanside to Indio to Lancaster to Santa Monica and everywhere between.  In 1989, Steel-T hired David Kenney as an entry level warehouse employee who quickly found himself working his way up the ladder by excelling in each challenging role from installation, service, estimating and purchasing to eventually landing the position of General Manager.  With the retirement of the Steele brothers in 2009, Total Comfort, Inc. was officially established with David Kenney advancing as its new President.

Since its inception the combined operations of the New Construction Division has completed more than 500,000 single family, multi-family and commercial HVAC installation projects.  With the maturing of these installed HVAC products and the advancement of Total Comfort as a corporation, Mr. Kenney decided to diversify Total Comfort’s services.  In 2010, he expanded operations with its Add on Replacement Division and again in 2012 by adding Plumbing and Insulation to the division.  The Add on Replacement Division allows Total Comfort the diversity to service existing residential customers when experiencing issues associated with any heating, air conditioning, plumbing, indoor air quality or insulation problems that may arise, making Total Comfort a “Total Home Energy Specialist”.
